Dr. Ros Burton-Robertson is an energetic, life-loving woman who loves to encourage others to maximize their full potential. Dr. Ros firmly believes God’s promise in Jeremiah 29:11, “I know the plans that I have for you…,” and she desires to help others believe and apply that truth to their lives.

Dr. Ros is a gifted pastor, preacher, professor, mother, life coach, psychologist, entrepreneur, successful business women and prolific conference speaker.  Dr. Ros embodies the total essence of the Proverbs 31 woman, as she is used by God to effect change in this 21st century.

As a trained psychotherapist and certified pastoral counselor, Dr. Ros believes there are two basic principles in therapy, to engage the client and challenge the client.  Whether it is individual or relational, she engages many opportunities to persevere and gain character; her philosophy assumes that a person's spirit, thoughts, emotions, and behaviors interconnect to form personal wholeness.

As the CEO & President of Dr. Ros, Inc., and independent radio producer of her weekly radio broadcast, “Talk with Dr. Ros” on 1350am WNLK Radio and 1400am WSTC Radio, she uses universal principles of spirituality, to offer practical tools for leading a joyous, abundant, peaceful, and meaningful life in God.   Her private practice is defined by her belief that true success comes from doing what is perfectly aligned with a person’s faith, values, and the will of God for your life.

Dr. Ros’s earned degrees and academic credentials include a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology,  Bernard M. Baruch College, Master of Science in Education with a Specialization in Psychiatric Rehabilitation Counseling, Thomas H. Hunter College, both City Universities of New York; advanced theory and practice counseling at New York University; Master of Divinity, Alliance Theological Seminary;  Doctor of Psychology, Yeshiva University;  Doctor of Philosophy in Christian Counseling, Trinity Theological Seminary; Doctor of Theology in Systematic Theology, Evangelical Seminary; Doctor of Business Administration in Healthcare Administration, Northcentral University (ABD); Certified Performance and Life Coach; and nominated for the Cambridge Who’s Who of America’s Professional and Executive Women award.  Dr. Ros is an Advisory Board Member, Veterans Rowing & Kayaking, Inc., New Haven, CT; Commissioner for the Health Services Board of Commissions, City of Stamford, CT; a Voting Member, American Psychological Association, Division 49, Society for Group Psychology & Psychotherapy; American Psychological Association, Division 17, Society of Counseling Psychology Committee Reviewer; and candidate for the American College of Healthcare Executives Fellow.

She is the author and self-publisher of four books, “Proverbs 31 Woman In Progress,” “Power & Purpose of a Woman: Women's Devotions to Inspire & Change,”  “Endow Me: An Analysis of Psychology, Theology and Spirituality in the Christian Faith,” and “Pastoral Care & Counseling: Ministry in Contemporary Society”.

Most importantly, Dr. Ros is the mother of Kiara, Josiah, and Jordyn; and Senior Pastor of A Place of Worship Center, Norwalk, CT; and has devoted much of her vocation to the field of mental health, higher education, ministry, and broader society by regularly writing, speaking and consulting with organizations.  With the prayers and support of friends and partners around the world, she presents a creative and relevant message of God and His love for people worldwide, using the most powerful forms of media and communications available, as well as the development and distribution of practical teaching resources. Her assignment is clear…Transforming, Motivating and Empowering.

Dr. Ros has the honor and distinct privilege to serve and be shepherd by Bishop Steven Presiding Prelate of the Kinsmen Fellowship of Ministries, where he provides spiritual covering for Senior Pastors and Ministers.  He is also the Founder and Pastor of Abundant Life Healing Fellowship, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and a second campus, located in Newark, Delaware.   Under his leadership and tutelage, through many innovative ministries in the humanities, life support, arts, leadership and a number of communities of interest groups and programs, A Place of Worship Center (POW) has expanded in advancing the Kingdom of God.
